Scenario

I need to add an InPost UK integration to the account.

Solution

1. Add InPost UK integration to your Linnworks account.

Go to Shipping > Integrations > Add Integration > and click Integrate for InPost UK:

You will need to provide the account name, enter the Organisation ID, Client ID, and Client Secret, then fill in the address details to complete the integration.

2. Add services to InPost UK.

Once the integration has been added successfully, go to the Services tab and select the required services from the dropdown list.

Please note that only the following two services are available for this integration:

InPost Home Delivery - Express

InPost Home Delivery - Standard

No other services are supported or can be added at the moment.

3. Save everything.

Click Edit next to the service to enable the required features. Select the options you need, click OK, and then click Finish to save your changes.

Important: Weight and dimensions are mandatory for the InPost UK integration. Make sure that the weight and dimensions are configured at one of the following levels:

  • Item
  • Order
  • Packaging Group

The integration requires these values before shipments can be processed successfully, as they are used for billing. Make sure the weight and dimensions are accurate to ensure the correct shipping charges are applied.

Changes from the InPost UK Legacy integration

If you're moving from the InPost UK Legacy integration, there are three key requirements in the new integration that weren't there before.

Weight and dimensions are now mandatory for every shipment. In the Legacy integration, these were optional. In the new integration, no shipment can be created without them, so make sure weight and dimensions are set at item, order, or packaging group level before you migrate.

A recipient mobile number is now mandatory. Landline numbers and blank numbers are not accepted. This is required because InPost may need to redirect the parcel to a locker if a To-Door delivery attempt is unsuccessful, and they need a mobile number to send a QR code to the recipient.

Split packaging (multi-parcel consignments) is no longer supported. Shipments can only be created with a single package, for the same reason as above — a multi-parcel consignment can't be redirected to a locker. If you need to send multiple parcels to the same recipient, split the order into separate orders so each one prints its own label.

If you have any questions about these requirements or run into issues meeting them, please reach out to InPost UK directly.
